I believe that it takes courage for a person to reach out for support and that the first steps of counseling support can be difficult. When one makes this leap of faith, I believe they are passionate and should be encouraged to learn, grow, and heal. I provide a safe and non-judgemental space so that the therapeutic relationship can be nurtured. I believe in a collaborative process and abide by confidentiality rules and ethics. I believe all my clients are resililent , capable, and have inner strength to make positive changes and I look forward to taking this journey with you.

I have been in the field for 20 years and continue to enhance my skills through training so i can effectively treat my clients. I am a certified drug and alcohol counselor and can support the client and family through the recovery process. I have worked with teenagers and adults to address the challenges they face and eliminate barriers to success.

Allowing clients to feel comfortable and confident while increasing their sense of belonging promotes healthy relationships and positive self-esteem. I want to be able to help you flourish in order to attain their goals and overcome obstacles.

Joining the Chicago Police Department (CPD) in 1999, I have more than 22 years of continuous law enforcement experience:

Currently assigned to the CPD Special Activities Unit, I am available on a twenty-four hour basis to provide support to the families of officers killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. Additionally, I coordinate the travel and accommodations for family members of fallen officers to the National Police Memorial in Washington DC and the Illinois Police Memorial in Springfield. I have been the recipient of numerous awards and commendations, past CPD assignments which include district patrol, community policing, membership on the dignitary protective detail and special operations foot patrol team, and as Project Strategy Manager for Officer Wellness and Support within the Office of Reform Management.
