The Fishing Therapy Program is not about the fish – it is about taking time to unplug, mentally relax together, share a laugh, enjoy being outdoors all while learning a positive recreational skill. This program can be catered to individuals, families, groups and corporations.
Developed by Compassionate Care therapist, Laura Scott Crusing, MA LCPC, CADC, MISAII, who possess over 30 years of clinical experience, the Fishing Therapy Program is 4-6 hour program that includes a guided fishing experience with experienced guides to help your every need. We can even provide the equipment for you .
Fishing Therapy Program can provide numerous therapeutic benefits for those living with a variety of mental health issues such as:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Mood Disorders
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
The Fishing Therapy Program also develops a healthy recreational skill that can be enjoyed individually or in a group setting. Benefits include:

The Fishing Therapy Program fee will include the use of equipment and a fishing kit.
Fishing licenses will need to be purchased on your own following state regulations
